Ship Zone LLC (“Ship Zone,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of our customers, users, merchants, sellers, shipment recipients, and our customers’ downstream customers.
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how Ship Zone collects, receives, accesses, uses, processes, stores, protects, shares, transfers, retains, and deletes Personal Information in connection with our websites, shipping platform, applications, APIs, marketplace integrations, e-commerce integrations, customer-support services, and related shipping and logistics technology (collectively, the “Services”).
This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service and any other agreement applicable to your use of the Services.
By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy. Where applicable law requires consent, Ship Zone will process Personal Information based upon the appropriate consent or other lawful basis.
1. SCOPE OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY
This Policy may apply to information concerning:
- Ship Zone account holders;
- Merchants and sellers;
- Authorized account users;
- Employees or representatives of business customers;
- Senders;
- Shipment recipients and consignees;
- Customers of merchants using Ship Zone;
- Website visitors;
- API users and developers;
- Integration partners;
- Customer-support contacts; and
- Other individuals whose Personal Information is processed through the Services.
Different privacy rights and obligations may apply depending upon where an individual resides and the circumstances under which Ship Zone processes the information.
2. SHIP ZONE’S ROLE
Depending upon the circumstances, Ship Zone may process Personal Information in different capacities.
A. Information Ship Zone Controls
Ship Zone may determine the purposes and means of processing certain Personal Information, including information used for:
- Account administration;
- Billing;
- Customer service;
- Security;
- Fraud prevention;
- Website operation;
- Legal compliance;
- Business administration; and
- Direct relationships between Ship Zone and its customers.
Where applicable privacy law uses the terminology, Ship Zone may act as a controller or business concerning such processing.
B. Information Processed for Our Customers
Ship Zone may also process information on behalf of merchants, sellers, businesses, or other customers.
For example, a merchant may transmit its customer’s name and delivery address to Ship Zone solely so Ship Zone can facilitate shipment of the merchant’s order.
In such circumstances, the Ship Zone customer may be the controller or business and Ship Zone may act as its processor or service provider, depending upon applicable law.
Such processing may also be governed by the applicable Terms of Service, Data Processing Agreement, or other agreement between Ship Zone and the customer.
3. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
The information Ship Zone collects depends upon how you interact with our Services.
We may collect the following categories of information.
A. Account Information
This may include:
- First and last name;
- Business or company name;
- Username;
- Email address;
- Telephone number;
- Billing address;
- Pickup address;
- Return address;
- Business information;
- Account preferences;
- Authorized users; and
- Account verification information.
B. Shipment Information
When a Shipment is created, we may process:
- Sender name;
- Sender address;
- Sender contact information;
- Recipient or consignee name;
- Delivery address;
- Recipient contact information;
- Return address;
- Shipment identifiers;
- Tracking numbers;
- Carrier information;
- Package dimensions;
- Package weight;
- Commodity descriptions;
- Quantity;
- Declared value;
- Customs information;
- Country of origin;
- HS/HTS or commodity classifications;
- Delivery instructions;
- Shipping labels;
- Customs documentation; and
- Other information necessary to facilitate the requested shipment.
C. Payment and Transaction Information
We may process information concerning:
- Shipping charges;
- Purchases;
- Payment status;
- Refunds;
- Credits;
- Carrier adjustments;
- Billing history;
- Transaction history; and
- Payment-method information.
Payment-card information may be processed directly by authorized third-party payment processors.
Ship Zone may therefore not receive or store complete payment-card information where the payment processor handles that information directly.
D. Device and Usage Information
When you interact with our websites or Services, we may automatically collect:
- IP address;
- Browser type;
- Device type;
- Operating system;
- Device identifiers;
- Login activity;
- Date and time of access;
- Pages viewed;
- Features used;
- Referring URLs;
- Click activity;
- Session information;
- Log files;
- Error information;
- Security information; and
- Other technical information.
4. INFORMATION ABOUT SHIPMENT RECIPIENTS
Our customers may provide Ship Zone with Personal Information concerning people who are not Ship Zone account holders.
For example, a merchant may provide:
- Recipient name;
- Company name;
- Telephone number;
- Email address; and
- Delivery address.
Ship Zone processes this information as necessary to facilitate the shipment and provide related Services.
The Ship Zone customer providing such information is responsible for having the appropriate authority or lawful basis to provide the information to Ship Zone.
Where applicable, individuals whose information was supplied to Ship Zone by a merchant may need to contact that merchant regarding certain privacy requests because the merchant controls the underlying customer relationship.
5. CONNECTED E-COMMERCE AND THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Ship Zone may allow customers to connect third-party accounts, marketplaces, stores, applications, carriers, and other services to their Ship Zone account.
When a customer authorizes such a connection, Ship Zone may exchange information with the applicable third party as necessary to provide the requested integration.
Depending upon the integration and permissions granted, information may include:
- Seller identifiers;
- Store identifiers;
- Order information;
- Order numbers;
- Customer information;
- Recipient information;
- Product information;
- Delivery addresses;
- Fulfillment status;
- Shipment information;
- Tracking information; and
- Other information necessary to provide the requested Services.
Ship Zone accesses connected-platform information only as permitted by the applicable authorization, agreement, API, platform rules, and applicable law.
Disconnecting an integration may stop future collection through that integration but does not necessarily require immediate deletion of information Ship Zone is legally or contractually permitted or required to retain.
6. AMAZON SELLING PARTNER API
Ship Zone may integrate with the Amazon Selling Partner API (“SP-API”) to provide authorized shipping, fulfillment, order-management, label-generation, tracking, and related functionality to Amazon selling partners.
A. Amazon Information
Depending upon the permissions granted to Ship Zone and the functionality requested by the selling partner, Ship Zone may receive or process Amazon Information including:
- Selling partner identifiers;
- Order identifiers;
- Order information;
- Fulfillment information;
- Shipment information;
- Recipient information where authorized;
- Delivery addresses where authorized;
- Contact information where authorized;
- Tracking information; and
- Other information accessible through authorized SP-API operations.
Certain Amazon Information may constitute Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”) or other restricted information under Amazon’s policies.
B. Purpose of Amazon Information
Ship Zone uses Amazon Information only for authorized purposes associated with providing the Services requested by the applicable selling partner, which may include:
- Importing eligible orders;
- Processing fulfillment information;
- Preparing shipments;
- Obtaining shipping rates;
- Comparing eligible shipping services;
- Purchasing shipping services;
- Generating shipping labels;
- Completing fulfillment workflows;
- Providing tracking;
- Updating shipment status;
- Providing customer support;
- Protecting account and platform security;
- Detecting or preventing fraud; and
- Maintaining the integrity of the Services.
Ship Zone does not sell Amazon Information.
Ship Zone does not use Amazon Information for unauthorized purposes prohibited by Amazon’s applicable policies.
C. Sharing Amazon Information
Ship Zone may share Amazon Information only where authorized, permitted, or necessary to provide the applicable Services.
For example, recipient and delivery information may need to be transmitted to the carrier selected to deliver the Shipment.
Access by employees, contractors, service providers, and other authorized parties is restricted according to applicable business, contractual, security, and Amazon requirements.
D. Security of Amazon Information
Ship Zone maintains administrative, organizational, physical, and technical safeguards designed to protect Amazon Information against unauthorized:
- Access;
- Acquisition;
- Use;
- Disclosure;
- Alteration;
- Loss; and
- Destruction.
Ship Zone’s security program is intended to comply with applicable Amazon SP-API security and data-protection requirements.
Access to Amazon Information is limited to authorized persons and systems with a legitimate business need.
E. Amazon Credentials
SP-API credentials, tokens, authentication information, and similar security credentials are treated as confidential security information.
Ship Zone does not intentionally disclose such credentials publicly.
F. Amazon Information Retention
Ship Zone retains Amazon Information only for the period necessary for an authorized business purpose and as permitted by applicable Amazon requirements and law.
Amazon PII subject to Amazon-specific retention requirements will be handled according to Amazon’s then-current Data Protection Policy.
Where Amazon requires information to be deleted within a specified period, Ship Zone will apply the applicable Amazon requirement unless retention is otherwise expressly permitted or legally required.
G. Amazon Information Deletion
When Amazon Information is no longer required or authorized, Ship Zone will take appropriate measures to delete, destroy, anonymize, or otherwise render applicable information inaccessible in accordance with applicable Amazon requirements.
Revocation or disconnection of a selling partner’s authorization may result in deletion of applicable Amazon Information, subject to applicable legal and permitted retention requirements.
H. Amazon Policy Compliance
Ship Zone’s access to and processing of Amazon Information is subject to applicable Amazon agreements and policies, including the then-current:
- Amazon Data Protection Policy;
- Amazon Acceptable Use Policy;
- Solution Provider Agreement; and
- Applicable SP-API requirements.
Where an applicable Amazon requirement provides stricter protections for Amazon Information than this general Policy, Ship Zone will apply the applicable Amazon requirement to that information.
7. OTHER MARKETPLACE AND E-COMMERCE INTEGRATIONS
Ship Zone may provide integrations with additional e-commerce platforms, marketplaces, order-management systems, and other applications.
Information obtained through these integrations will be processed:
- To provide functionality requested or authorized by the customer;
- In accordance with this Privacy Policy;
- According to permissions granted to Ship Zone;
- According to applicable law; and
- Subject to applicable contractual and platform requirements.
Where an applicable platform requires stricter treatment of information than this Policy, Ship Zone will apply those requirements to information governed by that platform’s requirements.
8. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
Ship Zone may process Personal Information for purposes including:
- Establishing accounts;
- Authenticating users;
- Providing shipping quotations;
- Purchasing shipping services;
- Generating shipping labels;
- Managing shipments;
- Providing tracking;
- Arranging parcel transportation;
- Arranging freight transportation;
- Supporting ocean-freight services;
- Facilitating customs documentation;
- Processing payments;
- Issuing refunds and credits;
- Processing carrier adjustments;
- Maintaining billing records;
- Providing customer service;
- Providing technical support;
- Communicating operational notices;
- Operating integrations;
- Maintaining and improving the Services;
- Diagnosing technical problems;
- Maintaining security;
- Preventing fraud;
- Detecting unauthorized activity;
- Enforcing agreements;

- Protecting Ship Zone, our customers, carriers, and third parties.
Where permitted, we may also use account contact information to communicate with customers regarding Ship Zone products or Services.
9. LEGAL BASES FOR PROCESSING
Where applicable law requires Ship Zone to identify a legal basis for processing, the basis may include:
- Performance of a contract;
- Steps requested before entering a contract;
- Consent;
- Compliance with legal obligations;
- Protection of legitimate interests;
- Prevention of fraud;
- Security;
- Establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims; and
- Other lawful bases recognized by applicable law.
10. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
Ship Zone may disclose Personal Information where necessary to operate our business and provide the Services.
A. Carriers and Logistics Providers
Shipment information may be shared with:
- Parcel carriers;
- Postal operators;
- Couriers;
- Freight carriers;
- Trucking companies;
- Freight forwarders;
- Ocean carriers;
- Airlines;
- Customs brokers;
- Warehouses;
- Insurance providers; and
- Other logistics providers.
Only information reasonably necessary to perform the applicable Service should be provided.
B. Technology and Service Providers
Information may be processed by service providers supporting functions such as:
- Cloud hosting;
- Cybersecurity;
- Communications;
- Customer service;
- Software infrastructure;
- Analytics;
- Fraud detection;
- Data storage; and
- Business operations.
C. Payment Providers
Transaction information may be disclosed to payment processors, financial institutions, and related providers as necessary to process payments, refunds, fraud reviews, and disputes.
D. Connected Platforms
Where a customer activates an integration, Ship Zone may exchange necessary information with that platform.
E. Professional Advisers
Information may be disclosed where reasonably necessary to:
- Lawyers;
- Accountants;
- Auditors;
- Insurers; and
- Other professional advisers.
F. Government and Legal Requests
Ship Zone may disclose information when reasonably believed necessary or appropriate to:
- Comply with law;
- Respond to lawful governmental requests;
- Respond to court orders;
- Respond to subpoenas;
- Prevent fraud;
- Investigate illegal activity;
- Protect rights or property;
- Protect users or third parties; or
- Enforce our agreements.
G. Business Transactions

- Reorganization;
- Sale of assets;
- Insolvency;

- Similar corporate transaction,

11. CARRIERS AS INDEPENDENT PARTIES
When a Customer selects a carrier or logistics service, Personal Information necessary to perform that service may be transmitted to the applicable provider.
A carrier may process such information under its own privacy policy, contractual terms, regulatory obligations, and legal requirements.
Ship Zone does not control the independent privacy practices of third-party carriers.
Users should review the privacy terms applicable to the carrier or provider they select.
12. SALE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
Ship Zone does not sell Amazon Information.
Ship Zone does not sell its customers’ shipment recipient information to data brokers for their independent marketing purposes.
If Ship Zone engages in any activity that applicable privacy legislation defines as a “sale” or “sharing” of Personal Information, Ship Zone will provide any notices and opt-out mechanisms required by applicable law.
13. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS
Where permitted by applicable law, Ship Zone may send customers communications concerning its products, services, features, and offers.
Users may opt out of promotional email communications by using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in applicable messages or by contacting Ship Zone.
Opting out of marketing does not prevent Ship Zone from sending necessary transactional or administrative communications, including:
- Shipment notices;
- Security alerts;
- Billing communications;
- Account notices;
- Legal notices; and
- Service communications.
14. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
Ship Zone may use cookies and similar technologies to operate and improve our websites and Services.
These technologies may include first-party and third-party cookies, pixels, tags, scripts, local storage, analytics tools, and similar technologies.
A. Essential Cookies
These cookies support necessary website and platform functionality, including:
- Authentication;
- Security;
- Session management; and
- Core website operation.
B. Functionality Cookies
These technologies may remember preferences and improve functionality.
C. Performance and Analytics Cookies
These technologies help Ship Zone understand:
- Website traffic;
- Feature usage;
- Website performance;
- Errors; and
- How users interact with the Services.
D. Advertising and Marketing Cookies
Where used and legally permitted, these technologies may help measure advertising performance or provide more relevant marketing.
Where applicable law requires consent before non-essential cookies are placed, Ship Zone will obtain the required consent.
Users may also be able to manage cookies through their browser or applicable cookie-preference tools.
Disabling cookies may prevent certain portions of the Services from functioning correctly.
15. DATA SECURITY
Protecting Personal Information is important to Ship Zone.
Ship Zone maintains reasonable administrative, organizational, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Information against unauthorized:
- Access;
- Acquisition;
- Use;
- Disclosure;
- Alteration;
- Loss;
- Destruction; and
- Other unauthorized processing.
Depending upon the information and systems involved, safeguards may include:
- Authentication controls;
- Access restrictions;
- Least-privilege principles;
- Encryption;
- Credential protection;
- Network security;
- Monitoring;
- Logging;
- Vulnerability management;
- Backup procedures;
- Secure software-development practices;
- Employee access restrictions; and
- Incident-response procedures.
No Internet transmission, computer network, website, database, cloud environment, or electronic-storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Accordingly, Ship Zone cannot guarantee absolute security.
16. CUSTOMER SECURITY RESPONSIBILITIES
Customers are responsible for:
- Protecting account passwords;
- Protecting API credentials;
- Maintaining secure devices;
- Controlling administrator access;
- Controlling employee access;
- Removing access for former employees;
- Maintaining accurate authorized-user information; and
- Promptly notifying Ship Zone of suspected unauthorized account activity.
Customers should not share account credentials with unauthorized persons.
17. SECURITY INCIDENTS
Ship Zone maintains procedures designed to identify, investigate, respond to, mitigate, document, and remediate qualifying security incidents.
Where required by applicable law, contract, or platform requirements, Ship Zone will provide applicable notices to affected parties, governmental authorities, platforms, or other entities.
Incidents involving Amazon Information will be handled according to applicable Amazon requirements.
18. DATA RETENTION
Ship Zone retains Personal Information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or as otherwise permitted or required.
Retention considerations may include:
- Active accounts;
- Shipment processing;
- Customer support;
- Billing;
- Accounting;
- Tax requirements;
- Customs requirements;
- Claims;
- Insurance matters;
- Chargebacks;
- Fraud prevention;
- Security;
- Dispute resolution;
- Litigation;
- Contract enforcement;
- Regulatory obligations; and
- Other legal requirements.
Different categories of information may therefore have different retention periods.
Where a marketplace or applicable law requires a shorter retention period, Ship Zone will apply that requirement to the applicable information.
Ship Zone may retain anonymized or aggregated information where that information can no longer reasonably identify an individual.
19. DELETION REQUESTS

Where deletion is required, Ship Zone will take appropriate measures to delete, de-identify, or otherwise securely dispose of applicable information.
20. ACCOUNT CLOSURE
Customers may request closure of their Ship Zone account.
Closing an account does not necessarily result in immediate deletion of every record associated with that account.
Ship Zone may retain information where necessary or permitted for legitimate legal, financial, security, regulatory, dispute-resolution, and recordkeeping purposes.
21. INTERNATIONAL AND CROSS-BORDER TRANSFERS
Ship Zone provides Services involving multiple countries.
Personal Information may therefore be processed or stored outside the individual’s home jurisdiction, including in the United States, Canada, Costa Rica, and other countries where Ship Zone, carriers, platforms, payment processors, infrastructure providers, or service providers operate.
Privacy laws may differ between jurisdictions.
Where required by applicable law, Ship Zone will use appropriate safeguards for applicable international transfers.
Information processed in another jurisdiction may also be subject to lawful access by courts, law-enforcement agencies, regulators, and governmental authorities in that jurisdiction.
22. PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending upon your jurisdiction and applicable law, you may have rights concerning your Personal Information.

23. INFORMATION CONTROLLED BY A SHIP ZONE CUSTOMER
If Ship Zone processes your Personal Information solely on behalf of one of our business customers, Ship Zone may be unable to independently fulfill certain privacy requests.
For example, if you purchased an item from a merchant and the merchant transmitted your address to Ship Zone to create a shipping label, that merchant may control the underlying customer information.
In those circumstances, Ship Zone may direct you to the applicable merchant or process the request according to instructions from that merchant, subject to applicable law.
24. UNITED STATES PRIVACY RIGHTS
Residents of U.S. states with applicable comprehensive privacy legislation may have additional rights concerning Personal Information.
Where such legislation applies to Ship Zone and the applicable processing activity, Ship Zone will honor the rights required by that law.
Depending upon the jurisdiction, these rights may include:
- Access;
- Correction;
- Deletion;
- Data portability;
- Opt-out rights; and
- Appeal rights concerning certain privacy decisions.
Ship Zone will not unlawfully discriminate against an individual for exercising privacy rights.
25. CALIFORNIA PRIVACY
Where the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (“CCPA”), applies, eligible California residents may have rights concerning:
- Categories of Personal Information collected;
- Sources of Personal Information;
- Business or commercial purposes for collection;

Ship Zone will process qualifying requests according to applicable California requirements.

Where Canadian privacy legislation applies, Ship Zone will process Personal Information according to applicable federal and provincial privacy requirements.
Depending upon the circumstances, individuals may have rights concerning:

- Consent;

- Complaints regarding Personal Information.

27. OTHER JURISDICTIONS
Additional privacy requirements may apply depending upon where Ship Zone offers Services and where affected individuals reside.

Such supplemental notices form part of this Privacy Policy for the individuals to whom they apply.
28. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Ship Zone provides commercial shipping and logistics Services and is not designed or intended for children.
Ship Zone does not knowingly solicit Personal Information directly from children in circumstances prohibited by applicable law.
If Ship Zone learns that Personal Information was collected from a child contrary to applicable legal requirements, Ship Zone will take appropriate measures to address or delete the information.
29. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES AND SERVICES
Ship Zone’s Services may contain links to or integrations with third-party:
- Websites;
- Applications;
- Carriers;
- Marketplaces;
- Payment processors;
- E-commerce platforms; and
- Other services.
Those parties operate independently and may maintain their own privacy and security practices.
Ship Zone is not responsible for the independent privacy practices, content, security practices, availability, acts, or omissions of third parties except to the extent responsibility cannot legally be excluded.
Users should review the applicable third party’s privacy policy before providing Personal Information.
30. AGGREGATED AND DE-IDENTIFIED INFORMATION
Where permitted by applicable law and applicable platform requirements, Ship Zone may aggregate or de-identify information so that it can no longer reasonably be associated with an identifiable individual.
Ship Zone may use properly aggregated or de-identified information for purposes including:
- Analytics;
- Security;
- Service improvement;
- Capacity planning;
- Business intelligence; and
- Development of Ship Zone’s Services.
Ship Zone will not attempt to re-identify information where prohibited by applicable law or contractual requirements.
31. BUSINESS TRANSFERS
If Ship Zone participates in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction, Personal Information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction.
Any successor receiving Personal Information will remain subject to applicable privacy obligations concerning that information.
32. LIMITATIONS REGARDING THIRD PARTIES
Ship Zone takes reasonable measures designed to protect information within Ship Zone’s control.
However, Ship Zone does not control independent carriers, marketplaces, payment processors, governmental agencies, telecommunications providers, or other independent third parties.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ship Zone is not responsible for the independent privacy practices, security failures, acts, omissions, or systems of third parties after information has been lawfully transmitted to such third party for an authorized purpose.
Nothing in this Policy excludes or restricts liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
33. USER RESPONSIBILITIES
Businesses using Ship Zone are responsible for their own compliance with applicable privacy and data-protection laws.
Customers represent that they have appropriate rights, permissions, notices, consents, or other lawful bases necessary to provide Personal Information to Ship Zone.
Customers must not use Ship Zone to unlawfully collect, process, disclose, or transmit Personal Information.
34. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
Ship Zone may periodically update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in:
- Our Services;
- Technology;
- Integrations;
- Business practices;
- Applicable laws;
- Security requirements; or
- Third-party platform requirements.
The current version will display its applicable Last Updated date.
Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent for a material change, Ship Zone will provide such notice or obtain such consent.
